Privacy policy

Last reviewed: August 2, 2026

This is what Weniter knows about you, what it's used for, who it's shared with, and how you take it out whenever you want. No fine print: everything there is, is here.

Who is responsible

The controller of your data is Weniter. For anything privacy-related, write to info@weniter.com and we'll answer.

What data we process

Only what the platform needs to work. Specifically:

  • Account data: your email and name, which arrive from Kinde when you sign up.
  • Your profile: the pieces you declare (capabilities, assets), your conditions (dedication, modality, presence), country and city if you give them, and the texts you write (bio, headline, your project's one-liner).
  • Your activity on the platform: published searches, handshakes, messages, pilots and their closures, notifications.
  • Minimal technical data: the language cookie and your IP address, used only to limit abuse (usage quotas).

Why, and on what legal basis

Each use has its basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Providing the service (art. 6.1.b, performance of a contract): creating your profile, computing matches, delivering messages and notifications.
  • Your consent (art. 6.1.a): you give it when creating your profile, by ticking the box that links to this policy. It's recorded with a date.
  • Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f): platform security, usage limits and operational notices about your account.

Matching is automated — and a person decides

Weniter proposes matches automatically: it crosses the pieces you declared with what others are looking for, using deterministic rules. A language model may re-rank and explain those results; it runs on our own servers and your data never leaves to an external AI provider.

No decision with legal or similarly significant effect on you is made on its own (art. 22 GDPR). The system suggests; contacting, accepting or declining is always a person's call. A match grants you nothing and denies you nothing: it's a suggestion you can ignore.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data or hand it over for advertising. The third parties that touch your data are the minimum needed to operate:

  • Kinde: handles sign-up and login. Processes your email and name.
  • Our email (SMTP) provider: sends the platform's emails — reminders, notices. Processes your email address.
  • The infrastructure provider where the platform and its database run.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. If you delete your account, personal data is removed or anonymized on the spot: your profile, your pieces, your texts and your email are gone.

What remains, remains without you: the pilots, closures and messages of the people you dealt with survive anonymized, because their reputation can't be destroyed by deleting an account. Technical records (usage limits) are discarded within days.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction. The two that matter most you exercise from your account, without writing to anyone:

  • Export: from your account you download everything Weniter knows about you, in a readable file.
  • Delete: from your account, effective immediately. The screen tells you exactly what goes and what stays.
  • For the rest, write to info@weniter.com. And you can always lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If anything substantial changes, you'll see it announced on the platform before it takes effect. The date above says when it was last reviewed.
